John pulled off a very sweet anniversary surprise. We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary at the end of December. Over the course of our marriage, (yeah yeah, all 7 of them), John has often heard me lament over my silly and even vain regrets of our wedding day. We never did get a photographer, I've always wished I'd actually bought a wedding dress, my hair was bad, the weather was dull and brown, and surely without a doubt I've complained of more then just that. Despite that, I do remember feeling complete joy that day that I WAS marrying John. We've got a wonderful life together, and I wouldn't change a thing. I think John knows that. I hope he knows that. Still, on our anniversary he did the sweetest thing EVER. I wasn't going to write about it, because I can see how this might be a bit odd. Yet if I didn't write about this day John wouldn't get credit for being the awesome, romantic, willing, wonderful, amazing husband that he is. What did he do?
He secretly ordered the same type of flowers we had on our wedding day. He found a dress for me, (thanks to my sister it was a store bought dress), and he did what few men are willing to do. PHOTOS! He did his very best to re-create that day. All the while insisting that these were ANNIVERSARY PHOTOS. Whatever you want to call them...we had a very fun, very goofy, slightly odd time. Mostly I appreciated John's efforts to acknowledge something he'd always heard me talk about.
And to think I once said he wasn't a romantic.
tsk tsk.

This is the sweetest thing ever! I know it's been ages since you posted it but I don't have this blog on my list and it sometimes gets neglected. I'm glad you put it up so we all know what a romantic John really is...
